Dr. Carrie Williams
Dr. Williams grew up in West Milton, Ohio, where her passion for animal care blossomed during her years in 4-H. From raising and exhibiting rabbits, sheep, pigs, and cattle at fairs across the region, Dr. Williams developed a deep connection to animals early on. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University in 2002 and fulfilled her dream of opening Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic in Piqua, Ohio, in 2007.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Williams enjoys life on the go with her husband and four children. Whether at a horse show, soccer game, or swim meet, her family keeps busy! Her own furry and feathered family includes two cats, a Russell Terrier, three horses, and a group of rabbits. Dr. Williams looks forward to welcoming you and helping care for your cherished pets!
Dr. Ken Brunson
Dr. Brunson brings more than a decade of veterinary experience to Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic, with a background in general practice and emergency medicine. While working in emergency care, Dr. Brunson realized how much he missed building lasting relationships with families and supporting them throughout their pets’ lives. His passions lie in feline medicine and behavior, senior pet care, surgery, and dentistry.
A Piqua native, Dr. Brunson earned his degrees from Ohio University and Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He’s a Cat Friendly veterinarian and a Fear Free Certified Professional, ensuring that every pet’s visit is as stress-free as possible. Dr. Brunson also serves on the board of Labor of Love, a non-profit dedicated to providing hospice care for shelter animals.
When not caring for the community’s pets, Dr. Brunson is an avid long-distance runner, having completed six marathons, including the Boston Marathon, and dozens of half marathons. He and his wife, Courtney, love hiking and spending time outdoors with their three senior cats at home in Troy.

Caitlin brings a decade of hands-on experience in the veterinary field, where she’s worn many hats—from veterinary assistant to receptionist to supervisor. Her rich background blends patient care with stellar customer service, ensuring pets and their families feel at ease the moment they walk through the door. Caitlin is dedicated to fostering a supportive and uplifting environment for both her team and clients, all while delivering top-notch care to every pet.
Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat, embracing outdoor adventures whenever she can.
Ashley
Customer Service
Ashley joined the Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic team in July 2023 as a customer service representative. Growing up on a farm where she raised pigs, Ashley discovered her passion for helping and caring for animals at an early age. With two years of customer service experience from her time at Tractor Supply, she brings a wealth of skills to our clinic.
Since joining Cornerstone, Ashley has embraced the opportunity to learn, appreciating how her colleagues take the time to answer her questions and share their knowledge. She takes great joy in assisting clients and meeting their adorable pets.
After hours, Ashley loves taking nature walks, binge-watching movies with her boyfriend on the weekends, and helping her family on their farm in her spare time.
Fleur
Fleur became a beloved member of our team in 2021 after Dr. Williams rescued her from a shelter as a kitten. This playful feline brings joy to our clinic, often engaging in spirited games with the staff or her two feline sisters. Her favorite pastime is a lively game of hide-and-seek, which she typically plays when the day winds down. You might find her tucked away in one of the many cabinets in the treatment area, expertly hiding from our search party!
When Fleur isn’t in stealth mode, she loves to bask in the sunlight on Dr. Williams’s desk or knead biscuits on the laps of her favorite team members. Outside of her busy work schedule, Fleur enjoys lounging with her sisters and guarding her collection of three little stuffed mice—treasures she refuses to share!
Hailee
Customer Service
Hailee joined the Cornerstone Veterinary Clinic family in April 2024, bringing with her valuable customer service experience from Rite-Aid Pharmacy. Her background in pharmacy equips her with the knowledge to answer client questions and clarify medication instructions for their pets, enhancing the support we offer our clients. Since starting at Cornerstone, Hailee has embraced the veterinary field and enjoys building relationships with both clients and their beloved pets as they walk through our doors.
At home, Hailee is a proud pet parent to 16 cats and three dogs, with another family member set to join the crew in November. When she’s not busy preparing for the new arrival, she loves to unwind by watching scary movies, indulging in some shopping, or diving into a good book.
Katelyn
Technician
With a deep love for veterinary care and the people she serves, Katelyn has been a valued registered veterinary technician with us since 2010. While the veterinary field has evolved with new diagnostics and treatments, Katelyn’s passion for building strong relationships with clients has remained constant. She treasures the bond she’s formed with many pet owners, who she now considers family.
Beyond the clinic, Katelyn enjoys life on her family farm with her husband, Trevor, and their children, Addie and Carter. Their furry family consists of two lively dogs, Bo and Trixie, a cat named Boo Boo, and a herd of crossbred beef cattle. Her true passion shines through in breeding, raising, and showing cattle, a tradition close to her heart.
Logan
Registered Technician
Logan comes to us with a large amount of experience from being a registered technician for almost 10 years. She has a wide range of exposure when it comes to the veterinary field from your everyday dog and cat family pet to farm animals, equine and she has even dabbled in some exotic medicine. Logan mostly enjoys working in exam rooms, teaching owners the ins and outs of why we do what we do in order to give their pet a happy, healthy life!
She is a wife and a mom of one hilarious toddler and the happiest baby girl you’ll ever meet! In her free time she loves spending time with her family, watching Ohio State football (really any OSU sport) and teaching her son all about show pigs – there’s nothing she loves more than being able to raise her kids “in a barn”!
Hermione
Hermione has been a cherished member of our clinic since day one, and she takes her role as the unofficial guardian of the front desk very seriously! This spirited feline adores indulging in relaxing baths and taking cozy afternoon naps tucked under the front desk, where she can keep an eye on all the comings and goings.
Hermione has a playful streak, too—her favorite game is “Attack the Post-It Note.” You’ll often catch her sneaking around the clinic, pouncing on any Post-It note left unattended, convinced they are her sworn enemies. With her charming personality, she loves welcoming clients and their furry companions as they step through the door, making everyone feel right at home.
Living at the clinic with her two sisters, Hermione also knows how to have a good time! On weekends, the trio throws lively parties that often lead to a bit of a cleanup on Monday mornings, but their infectious energy keeps the clinic lively and fun.
Hannah
Support Staff
Hannah Hickman joined the Cornerstone family in June 2022, and she has embraced every challenge that comes her way, from mastering nail trims to navigating the quirks of our most spirited patients. With each hurdle, Hannah finds joy in the ultimate reward—returning a healthy pet to their loving family. Her passion for animals fuels her dedication to helping clients better understand their furry companions, ensuring they receive the best care possible.
Currently pursuing her goal of becoming a registered veterinary technician through Penn Foster, Hannah is also working toward becoming Fear Free Certified, emphasizing compassionate care in every interaction.
When she’s not at work or hitting the books, you can find her and her boyfriend constructing elaborate enclosures for their mini-zoo at home, which includes two dogs, three cats, and a fascinating array of reptiles, arachnids, insects, and crustaceans.
Katelynn
Support Staff
Katelynn became a vital part of our Cornerstone team in July 2023 as a veterinary assistant, bringing four years of experience in the field and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Ohio State. Katelynn is passionate about helping pet owners understand their furry friends’ health challenges, and she thrives on educating them about the best steps to take for recovery. Each day presents a fresh and exciting case for her to tackle, and she cherishes the collaborative spirit of the Cornerstone team in working toward the best outcomes for every patient.
Outside of work, Katelynn enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their growing family, which welcomed a new member, Nash, this spring. She shares her home with four beloved dogs and cats, making every day a delightful adventure in pet parenting.
Kaitlyn
Support Staff
Kaitlyn has been in the animal field for almost two years. She has wanted to work in this field since she was a little girl. She has always loved dogs and horses and someday wants to have her own dog boarding and daycare center as well as horse stables. Since starting here, Kaitlyn has enjoyed all the new knowledge the vet field has taught her on how to care for animals and to make their visit less stressful. Kaitlyn has a few pets herself, 3 dogs and two fish tanks. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and dogs sitting for friends and family during the summer. Kaitlyn also spends every Tuesday and Sunday at her church as a leader for their youth ministry.
